Adults Only
Alcohol will not be sold, supplied or served to anyone under 18.
Responsible Service of Alcohol
Bingil Bay Distillery is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and responsible tasting experience. Alcohol is served in accordance with Queensland liquor laws, our licence conditions and the judgement of our trained team.
Our tastings are designed to explore flavour, ingredients and process—not encourage excessive consumption.
Our Commitment
We want every guest to leave with a greater appreciation of the spirit—not with their safety compromised. These principles guide service throughout the distillery.
Alcohol will not be sold, supplied or served to anyone under 18.
Tasting pours are measured and presented as part of a guided, flavour-focused experience.
We will refuse or discontinue service where required by law or where a guest’s safety may be at risk.
Guests are encouraged to plan safe transport and never drive when affected by alcohol.
Age & Identification
We may ask any guest to provide current, acceptable evidence of age before serving or supplying alcohol. The identification must include a photograph and date of birth.
Visitors under 18 may only enter or remain on licensed premises where permitted by Queensland law and our licence conditions. They must not possess or consume alcohol. Please contact us before booking if your group includes anyone under 18.
Responsible Service
Alcohol will not be sold or supplied to a person who is under 18, unduly intoxicated or disorderly. Our team may also refuse service where the safety of the guest or others may be jeopardised, or where refusal is otherwise reasonably warranted.
This may include pausing or ending a tasting, declining a bottle sale, refusing further alcohol or asking a guest to leave the licensed area. Staff decisions made under our responsible-service obligations must be respected.
Getting Home Safely
Please nominate a designated driver or arrange suitable transport before visiting. Do not drive or operate a vehicle if your ability may be affected by alcohol.
Eat before your visit, pace your tasting and drink water throughout the experience. You are always welcome to decline any pour or choose not to finish a tasting sample.
Health Guidance
Australian Government health guidance advises that people who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy should not drink alcohol. For people who are breastfeeding, not drinking alcohol is safest for the baby.
Alcohol may also interact with medications or medical conditions. Seek advice from a qualified health professional if you are unsure whether drinking alcohol is appropriate for you.
